Roman is a sweet 8 month old black lab was dumped at a shelter after being hit by a car. Luckily, Wild Heir Lab Rescue got the call and we were able to get him out of the shelter and into safety! After visiting the vet and orthopaedic surgeon, we've learned that he has a fractured leg and hip and is in surgery today, Tuesday, Sept. 16. The good news is that the surgeon thinks he can save Roman's leg and avoid amputation. The not so good news is that even with the generous discount we've received from the surgeon, we still need to cover at least $2,000 in medical bills to get Roman on the road to recovery! Like so many of our labbys, despite neglect and abandonment, Roman's spirit remains bright and all he wants to do is give lots of love and kisses! We're hoping that you'll pass this around to your animal loving friends and co-workers requesting donations to help us heal Roman's broken body so that he can, once again, swim, run, play and fetch - all the things labbys love most! Adopting a friend

Adoption is easy! If you are a responsible dog person who loves Labs you automatically qualify as an excellent candidate. Adoption application and adoption contract is standard and a minimum adoption donation of $250 includes applicable shots, heartworm test, monthly heartworm and flea preventatives, and spay/neuter, as well as house/ crate/ familiarity with basic obedience commands, and microchipping. **All adoptable Labs are fostered at private residences or boarding facilities around the state, therefore, an approved adoption application is necessary to schedule a visit with the Labs.** Save a Lab and make a friend for life!
